Winter 2019 Cabin Fever Series

The Hepburn Library of Edwards will be holding a Winter 2019 Cabin Fever series. This will feature our local outdoors and all it has to offer. These are going to be on the third Tuesday of January, February, and March. These will be informative and entertaining for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. These will start at 6:30 and are free of charge.

Jan 15- Hiking the Trail to Yesterday will be giving a presentation on some longer hikes in the North country. This will include information about the hiking the trails and the history behind them. Trails that will be covered are Loon Lake mountain, High Falls on the Oswegatchie, Cat mountain, Low’s overlook on Hitchen’s pond & the Bog river and several others.
Feb.19- Visit St. Lawrence County Trails will be discussing their new online county wide trail guide. A “one-stop-shop” for trails, STLC Trails connects you to current information and maps for hundreds of miles of trails in St. Lawrence County. This new site covers trails for hiking, snowshoeing, biking, paddling and many more outdoor activities. New content is being continually updated and this is a great tool for local outdoor enthusiasts as well as people visiting our county. Learn more about the vast outdoor experiences that St. Lawrence county has to offer.
March 19- Nature up North will be sharing some insights to the many different aspects of their project. Interested in getting outdoors and learning more about the North Country environment? No matter what your age, interest, or ability level, there are many ways to get involved with Nature Up North They also hold many workshops, hikes, paddles and other opportunities for a great outdoor experience. They also have an online community where people can share their outdoor encounters.
